Katie is an associate in the Charlotte office, where she concentrates her practice in the area of employment law. She previously served as judicial clerk to the Hon. James L. Gale, Chief Special Superior Court Judge for Complex Business Cases, in Greensboro, N.C.

Before joining Judge Gale, Katie worked as a summer associate for firms in Charlotte and Hickory, N.C., gaining experience in a broad range of matters including medical malpractice, insurance liability, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and health care law.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys...well, being outside! Specifically, Katie takes pleasure in hiking and jogging. It's a good thing, too, as all of Katie's immediate family members are significantly taller than she is. She has to run just to keep up!
