At Nexsen Pruet, my practice is focused on patent law. This focus is on all aspects of patent preparation and prosecution, from counseling clients in the early stages of developing their invention, to drafting and filing the patent application, and ultimately to prosecuting the patent application at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. I am also experienced in conducting patentability searches, providing patentability opinions, conducting patent infringement analysis, drafting and reviewing patent licenses, and client counseling on business strategies and patent portfolio management.

I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse collection of clients, including a number of FORTUNE 50 and 100 companies, mid-sized companies, “mom and pop” businesses, and garage inventors. The subject matter of these clients has been spread across many different disciplines, encompassing software, chemical, mechanical, and electromechanical fields. For example, I have drafted and prosecuted patent applications for barcode scanners and imagers, voice recognition algorithms, electrical connectors, solar panel technologies, autonomous workplace management systems, lead acid and Li-ion battery technologies, chemical formulations, small molecules, nanomaterials, and numerous mechanical devices.

Outside of my legal practice, I am enthusiastic about anything outdoors. During the summer, you will often find me on a boat with my family tubing, wakeboarding, or just floating in the water. The rest of the year I can be found hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, or camping. I have four young children, so it is very likely that you will hear us long before you actually see us.
