Carl Petkoff is an Associate with the Bankruptcy and Financial Services Practice Group in Nexsen Pruet’s Columbia, South Carolina office. Prior to joining Nexsen Pruet as an attorney, he worked at the firm as a Summer Associate, researching and writing memoranda on issues related to copyright infringement, health care fraud, unfair trade practices and the RICO Act.
Carl earned his law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he served as Student Works Editor of the South Carolina Law Review. Carl was also a member of the Order of the Coif and the Order of the Wig and Robe.
He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Miami University.
Before attending law school, Carl spent two years working in operations management for a food products distributor. In this role, he oversaw warehousing and transportation functions while supervising a team of over 20 warehouse employees and CDL truck drivers.

Outside Nexsen Pruet
Growing up in Northern Virginia, Carl became an avid fan of the Washington Nationals and enjoys attending baseball games with family and friends. He also enjoys playing soccer, running and cooking.
