Overview

Bob Schwentker passed away on March 27, 2021. He graduated from Principia College in 1970 and the University of North Carolina School of Law in 1973. After law school, he served as a Captain in the United States Air Force Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAG). 

Before joining Nexsen Pruet, he served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of NC Electric Membership Corporation and also COO of GreenCo. He supervised corporate legal services, human resources, power supply contracts development, wholesale rate proceedings, litigation, and environmental matters for NCEMC. At Nexsen Pruet he served as outside general counsel to the electric utility industry in their environmental, utilities, and local government needs. 

While Bob made a significant impact in the legal profession, his family and his church were the center of his life. A long-time member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Raleigh, he served in various leadership roles, taught Sunday School, and was a cherished friend to many.
