An Associate in the firm’s Columbia office, Michael Scarnecchia focuses his practice on real estate and corporate law matters. As a former University of South Carolina quarterback, Michael is known for using discipline and perseverance while navigating complex issues, and he applies those strengths to his legal work.
Prior to joining the firm as an Associate, Michael worked as a Law Clerk for Nexsen Pruet during multiple summers, gaining significant experience and working closely with our real estate attorneys. He also served as a Law Clerk at a boutique litigation firm, where he worked on estate and trust matters, as well as a law clerk at a boutique transactional firm, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions.
Michael earned both his B.A. in Finance, cum laude, and J.D., cum laude, from the University of South Carolina. While in law school, Michael served as Chair of the Honor Council and served as a Student Member of the John Belton O’Neall Inn of Court. Michael regularly spends time serving his community, volunteering with local organizations such as Harvest Hope and Home Works of America. When not in the office, you can find Michael traveling, hiking, or reading up on the latest in investing and politics.
