We look forward to serving our clients from 23 offices and with 550 attorneys coast-to-coast.

Michael Parente is an Associate with Nexsen Pruet’s litigation team, focusing on white-collar defense. He represents and advises businesses and individuals on both criminal and civil actions. Michael uses his experience with e-discovery to assist clients in responding to federal grand jury subpoenas as well as civil investigative demands. He also conducts internal investigations and participates in pre-indictment negotiations for a variety of cases ranging from antitrust to fraud allegations.

Prior to joining Nexsen Pruet as an attorney, Michael worked for the firm as a law clerk for two years during law school. While clerking, he was heavily involved in a federal white-collar criminal trial that resulted in an acquittal for a client charged with health care fraud. Michael also worked on several parallel civil investigations with federal agencies such as the FTC, SEC, and CFPB.

Michael received a B.A. in Philosophy and a Master of Public Health from the University of Virginia and earned his law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Before attending law school, Michael was a health care industry analyst with a corporate intelligence firm.
