Overview

Leigh Bagley is a member in Nexsen Pruet’s Charlotte office, where she focuses her practice in the areas of commercial real estate law, and banking and financial services.

Prior to returning to Nexsen Pruet, where she began her legal career, Leigh practiced in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, for nearly 15 years. There she represented real estate developers, corporations, and financial institutions on their commercial lease matters, including office, retail, and industrial leasing. Leigh has experience negotiating, documenting, and closing small- and large-scale commercial loans, for both lenders and borrowers. She has extensive experience handling acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate for all types of buyers and sellers and has handled dispositions for financial institutions of other real estate-owned property. She has also represented financial institutions on secured lending, debt restructuring, forbearance, and settlement matters including construction, real estate acquisition, dealer floor plans, and asset-based lending.

Outside of her law practice, Leigh is an active member of her community where she applies her expertise in a number of roles. She currently serves on the board of Greater Winston-Salem Inc. and participates in its Emerging Leaders Program. Leigh also serves on the board of Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Inc. Until 2014, Leigh served as an Adjunct Professor at the Wake Forest University School of Law. She also served as a CLE Planner for the North Carolina Bar Association Annual Meetings.
