Overview
Kenneth “Toby” Whitmire is an Associate with the firm’s Greenville, South Carolina office where he focuses his practice on Real Estate. Toby helps clients navigate and manage a spectrum of issues related to project structuring, financing, zoning, permitting, and land use. He has experience in representing national, regional, and local commercial and residential developers in all phases of real estate development including land acquisition, financing, drafting covenants, conditions, and restrictions for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, commercial owners’ association formation and governing documentation.
During law school, Toby worked for various law firms where he gained experience in legal research, deposition and hearing preparation, and drafting pleadings and motions. Before attending law school, Toby worked as a corporate accountant for a multi-national engineering and construction firm.
Toby earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law, graduating cum laude. While earning his degree, Toby was a participant in the USC Law Veterans Legal Clinic, where he served indigent veterans by providing pro bono legal services in a variety of civil matters.
