Chase represents both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal court and has a diverse litigation practice, handling matters related to federal antitrust cartels, unfair trade practice, complex commercial and business litigation, personal injury and related insurance actions, and land use litigation.

He specializes in representing large commercial consumers in multi-district civil class action opt-out litigation prosecuting defendants for illegally colluding to raise prices of their products.  His experience in prosecuting price-fixing and bid-rigging antitrust cartels spans broad industries including ocean freight shipping, rail freight shipping, generic pharmaceuticals, chemical products, agricultural products, and commodities traded on the London Metal Exchange.

Chase is licensed in both North Carolina and South Carolina, and is a proven trial attorney having represented clients in both bench and jury trials.  In addition to his antitrust experience, he represents clients in complex commercial litigation matters, including consumer protection, contractual disputes, eminent domain, truck accident defense, land use, and bad faith refusal to pay insurance benefits. 

Chase graduated cum laude and Order of the Wig and Robe from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he served as the Senior Articles Editor of the South Carolina Law Review and as a Judicial Extern for Judge Michelle Childs in the District of South Carolina.

Outside Nexsen Pruet

When you don’t find Chase at work or in the gym, he’s probably enjoying the outdoors with his family. He enjoys trout fishing, wood-working, biking, cooking (& eating), reading, and spending time with his growing family. As a Pittsburgh native and former college hockey player, Chase remains an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan and plays in the local adult leagues.
