Nexsen Pruet Congratulates Pacolet Milliken as Keurig Green Mountain Announces New Spartanburg County Operations

Company to bring 500 jobs, $350 million investment to Pacolet Milliken's Tyger River Industrial Park-North in Moore, South Carolina

May 25, 2018

When Keurig Green Mountain, Inc. (Keurig) decided to locate their new, state-of-the-art roasting and packaging facility on a 200-acre site in the Tyger River Industrial Park-North (TRIP-North), Nexsen Pruet's Real Estate and Economic Development attorneys were there to assist Pacolet Milliken Enterprises, Inc. (Pacolet Milliken) throughout every stage of the project.

Keurig, a leader in specialty coffee and innovative single-serve brewing systems, joins companies like Toray, Kobelco, Ritrama, Sterling Contract Packaging and Magna Seating in the Tyger River Industrial Corridor along Highway 290 in Spartanburg County, SC with their $350 million planned location that will house 500 employees.

“The caliber of the companies that choose to locate within our parks speaks to the strength and quality of the parks we’ve worked diligently to create,” said Clay Adams, executive vice president of real estate for Pacolet Milliken. "First-rate infrastructure and utility services, combined with excellent proximity to interstates and other Upstate manufacturers, set the Tyger River Industrial Parks apart.”

According to the SC Department of Commerce, the company's new production facility will primarily house coffee roasting and packaging for Keurig's single-serve K-Cup® pods, along with the potential to support beverage distribution and warehousing in the future.

“Brewed to Perfection! Congratulations to Pacolet Milliken for playing such a strong role in helping to bring Keurig to the State of South Carolina," said Jim Warren, Nexsen Pruet Real Estate and Economic Development attorney. "Nexsen Pruet was pleased to assist our client, Pacolet Milliken, in their efforts on this huge economic development win for South Carolina. Hats off to the many state, county and local officials and entities working together to land Keurig – a textbook example of how the business friendly environment of this state, along with the collaboration among talented and dedicated members of the private and public sector, results in another success.”

The Nexsen Pruet team working on this project includes Jim, Michael Brearley and John Carroll.
