"Nexsen Pruet creates communications subsidiary"

Columbia Regional Business Report

April 15, 2013

On April 15th, The Columbia Regional Business Report featured "Nexsen Pruet creates communications subsidiary" in its "Morning Report" e-news blast.

The report about the firm's wholly-owned subsidiary NP Strategy begins:

Columbia-based Nexsen Pruet, one of South Carolina’s largest law firms, has established a subsidiary to offer communications and crisis management services.

Headed by attorney Leighton Lord, and including former U.S. Appeals Court Judge Billy Wilkins, NP Strategy comprises about 14 professionals with backgrounds in media relations, public relations and crisis communications.

The article continued with details about those professionals and some candid remarks from Lord about how NPS will operate.

“We will not be lobbyists, we will not be pushing legislation, and we will not run political campaigns,” Lord said. “South Carolina can be mysterious to people coming here from other states or countries. We’ll try to help them navigate the differences.”
