Nexsen Pruet Announces Changes to Firm Leadership

Two attorneys elected to Board of Directors; nine attorneys appointed as Office-Managing Partners

Nexsen Pruet, one of the Carolinas' largest law firms, is pleased to announce two attorneys have been elected to the firm’s Board of Directors. Jennifer S. Cluverius, whose practice is based in Greenville, South Carolina, and Matthew B. Roberts, whose practice is based in Columbia, South Carolina, began their first three-year term on July 1, 2018.

Nexsen Pruet’s five-member Board of Directors, elected by its Members (Partners), functions as a policymaking body for the firm. Cluverius and Roberts join Chairman Leighton Lord – Columbia, South Carolina, George J. Bullwinkel – Charleston, South Carolina and Scott Jackson –Greensboro, North Carolina.

Jennie Cluverius is a member of the firm’s Employment and Labor Group. She is certified by the South Carolina Supreme Court as a Specialist in Employment and Labor Law. Cluverius provides daily counsel to employers, including federal contractors, in employment, labor and other business matters. She represents employers in federal and state court litigation, as well as before the EEOC, the South Carolina Human Affairs Commission and the Department of Employment and Workforce.

Matthew Roberts is the Chair of Nexsen Pruet’s Health Care Group. He focuses his practice on board governance issues, physician/hospital relationships, managed care issues, fraud and abuse matters, health care contracts, issues related to tax-exempt hospitals, as well as the development and operation of clinically integrated networks, false claims analysis and defense and work on regulatory and legislative matters involving health care.

Office Managing Partners

Nexsen Pruet is also pleased to announce the appointment of nine Office-Managing Partners, appointed by the firm’s Board of Directors. Appointment is based on an attorney’s demonstrated management skills, community involvement, firm involvement and general ability to create a positive work environment in each office.
