Michelle L. Frazier joins Nexsen Pruet's Raleigh office

Government Relations attorney joins firm's Public Policy team

Nexsen Pruet is pleased to announce Michelle L. Frazier has joined the firm's Raleigh office.

Michelle is a government relations attorney lobbying for small and large industry clients in North Carolina before the legislative and executive branches. 

Clients benefit from Michelle’s previous experience working at a regional firm, where she had a robust lobbying practice representing numerous clients in small and large industries.

“Michelle's addition to our Raleigh office expands our capabilities in providing client support at the state government level," said David Senter, Managing Partner of Nexsen Pruet's Raleigh office. "Michelle complements our continued growth in the Raleigh market, as well as firm-wide."

As a member of the firm's Public Policy & Governmental Affairs team, Michelle will continue working with her clients on policy matters.

About Michelle Frazier
Michelle previously worked at the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) serving as Assistant Executive Director, which included the supervision of the NCBA's Office of Governmental Affairs. She joined the NCBA in March 2001 as Director of Governmental Affairs and was responsible for administering the legislative program as well as serving as the Association’s lobbyist for the legislative, executive and federal branches.

Prior to her position at the NCBA, Michelle was an associate in private practice in Raleigh, representing a variety of clients in all aspects of litigation in state and federal courts and before legislative and administrative boards. She also served as a Law Clerk for The Honorable William Norton Mason, United States Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of North Carolina, upon graduation from law school. While attending law school, she worked for Glaxo, Inc., in the Public Policy and Legal Departments as well as interning at the North Carolina Attorney General’s Office.

Michelle currently serves on the Board of Directors of The Law Alumni Association of UNC. She is recognized in Business North Carolina magazine's Legal Elite (2009) as one of North Carolina's best lawyers under the age of 40 (Young Guns category) and is also listed in North Carolina Super Lawyers (2009, 2010) as a Rising Star.
