Giving Back in Greensboro:

Nexsen Pruet Supports Urban Ministry in Time of Need

February 8, 2017

In late January 2017, the Greensboro Urban Ministry put out a call for help to the local Triad Community to help increase the supply of food available for emergencies. In the article from the News & Record, they cite less than a one week supply remaining.

Nexsen Pruet Member (partner) Brian Pearce led a response from Nexsen Pruet's Greensboro office alongside Associate Erin Cowan. They solicited support from other businesses that share a building with the Greensboro location of the firm -New Bridge Bank and Richardson Corp.

In all, Pearce's and Cowan's efforts led to a total of 635 pounds of food donated to the local charity. Peace states:

"The folks at Urban Ministries were overjoyed with the amount of food that we delivered and said they have been really touched with the response that their call for help has brought from our community. I am proud that our law firm and some of the other businesses in our building were part of that response."
