Dean Foods – Preference Demands

Many farmers and farm credit associations which hold milk assignments received preference demands this week seeking to recover payments made by Dean Foods or its affiliates during the 90-days prior to their respective bankruptcy filings. We understand that such letters are unsettling as farmers may already have significant unpaid claims against Dean Foods and didn’t do anything inappropriate while doing business with Dean Foods.
