U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos has announced the hiring of several senior staff members.
Candice Jackson has been named Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Office for Civil Rights. Jackson will also serve as Acting Assistant Secretary until that position is filled.
Jackson is the author of the 2005 book, Their Lives: The Women Targeted by the Clinton Machine. The book describes Jackson as an attorney from Los Angeles and a graduate of Stanford University and Pepperdine Law School.
