Overview

I bring a broad base of government experience to matters involving real estate law. I have a strong understanding of land use and zoning concerns, and am well versed in researching, analyzing, and drafting documentation to support transactions.

With a background that includes more than 13 years in the public sector, I am particularly experienced in providing counsel to government entities and have a proven ability to effectively analyze statutes, ordinances, case law, and factual data to achieve favorable outcomes.

In my most recent position as lead attorney for Berkeley County Government – the governing authority for the 35th fastest growing county in the United States – I handled a number of legal matters to support the vitality and continued economic progress of the region.

When I am out of the office, I enjoy ballroom dancing. Although I don't compete, I have participated in a number of shows. Right now, the tango and the hustle are my favorites.

I enjoy traveling and, in the past 10 years, I have visited Ireland (twice); Italy; Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Lichtenstein; Croatia and Bosnia.

I'm hoping to get back into sailing now that I'm closer to the water. So, if you see me out by the pier, give me a wave!
