Jonathan practices in the areas of construction law and business litigation. He represents owners, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers in a wide array of construction issues, including, but not limited to contractual disputes, defects, delays, and lien and bond claims. He also represents clients outside of the construction industry in various commercial, insurance and collection disputes.

He earned a law degree with high honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he was a member of the North Carolina Law Review and the Graduate Student Attorney General’s Staff. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Spanish from the University of Virginia.

His past experience includes:

  • Judicial Intern for the Honorable J. Douglas McCullough of the North Carolina Court of Appeals;
  • Legal Extern for the Trademark Counsel’s Office at GlaxoSmithKline in RTP;
  • Summer Immigration Law Intern at Pisgah Legal Services in Asheville, NC;
  • Founder and sole proprietor of Collegiate Pro-Wash, pressure-washing and deck restoration company.

After spending the bulk of his youth living in the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina, Jonathan developed a strong appreciation for the outdoors. Whether it’s hiking, mountain biking, hunting or fishing, Jonathan loves any and all outdoor activities.

When not out in the wilderness, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his golden retriever, Louie.  Jonathan also loves traveling to foreign countries and is an avid fan of UVA athletics.
