Born in Charlotte, but raised in Southern Pines, Chris had no choice but to play golf as a kid.  He was introduced to the game by his dad, using clubs cut down by his grandfather.  While the local junior golf program allowed him to play some of this state’s best courses, Chris also made the most of the PGA Tour’s visits to Pinehurst.  He was a standard bearer during the 1991 and 1992 Tour Championships and volunteered as a marshal on the putting green during the 1999 US Open, in addition to broadcasting updates and reports on the tournament for a local radio station.

Chris continues to love the game of golf, though his frequency of play is greatly reduced due to his chosen profession and two young children.
