Alex Serkes is an Associate in the Columbia office and focuses his practice on commercial real estate and corporate law.  During law school, Alex was a summer associate at Nexsen Pruet for the summers of 2014 and 2015, and served as a law clerk during his final year of law school.

Alex graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law, cum laude, where he served as a research editor for the ABA Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Journal, and as an executive board member of the Constitutional Scholar’s Pipeline, a program that mentored middle schoolers throughout Columbia interested in attending college and law school.

Alex received a BS in Communication with a minor in History from East Carolina University, where he was a member of the Student Government Association, the Inter-Fraternity Council, and a sports writer for the campus newspaper The East Carolinian (you can still find his old archived articles with a deep Google search!).

Alex is a sports fanatic.  He considers himself to be the biggest fan of the NBA known to man, and is a stern believer in the fact that The 90s era of the NBA is the greatest period in the history of sports.  If you are a law student working here as a summer associate, be sure to partake in Alex’s NBA Draft competition!

When Alex is not in the office, or scouting that next great NBA phenom, he enjoys spending as much time as he can with his wife and their dog, Oakley.
