Nexsen Pruet attorney Tushar Chikhliker has been elected to the Board of Trustees of South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities (SCICU). Appointed at its annual meeting on October 1, Chikhliker will serve a three-year term.
“Founded in 1953, SCICU is a non-profit organization which supports and promotes independent higher education through fundraising, scholarships, research, and by facilitating collaborative activities among the 20 member institutions. Over 33,000 students each year attend a private, non-profit college or university in South Carolina.”
Tushar Chikhliker focuses his practice on economic development and public finance where he assists his clients in negotiating and implementing financial transactions aimed at sparking new success, or bolstering established success, in the South Carolina communities where they choose to invest. Tushar chairs Nexsen Pruet’s Diversity Committee and Recruiting and Retention Committee.
