Nexsen Pruet economic development attorney Tushar Chikhliker spoke to members of the Indian media on May 26th in Downtown Columbia.
Journalists from outlets including The Times Group, The Hindu, DNA and BusinessLine were visiting the United States, reporting on international business, including topics such as incentives, trade missions and foreign direct investment.
Chikhliker, who leads the firm's economic development team, discussed how there is "intense competition" between various states and regions of the country.
He told the reporters that South Carolina has developed an infrastructure for recruiting from economies like India and that the state maintains an ecosystem that allow businesses to thrive here.
