"House gambling definition debated"

Charleston    The Post and Courier    August 6, 2009

Charleston's The Post and Courier reports on an appeal in a Lowcountry courtroom on Tuesday, August 4th.

Nexsen Pruet attorney Billy Wilkins argued "as lawyers for five Texas Hold 'em players convicted earlier this year in a Mount Pleasant municipal court went to state court, asking that their convictions be set aside."

Reporter Schuyler Kropf wrote the August 5th article entitled "House gambling definition debated."   Kropf reports that the appeal "focused on what some say is the state's ill-defined law covering a house of gambling."  He added that Wilkins said "the case involved multiple legal issues, including matters of due process."
