Jim Bryan Admitted to Practice before U.S. Supreme Court

Jim Bryan, a Member (partner) in Nexsen Pruet’s Greensboro office, has been admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.

He earned the honor during a recent trip to Washington, D.C., with a group of 18 Wake Forest University School of Law alumni. While the attorneys attended a session of the Supreme Court, law school Dean Blake Morant moved for their admission. Chief Justice John G. Roberts granted the motion.

In his 19th year in the practice of law, Bryan is a member of the business litigation group, where he concentrates his practice in the areas of insurance coverage, bad faith litigation, tort litigation, commercial litigation, and environmental law. He is also chair of the firm’s insurance litigation and trucking litigation committees.

He is a member of the Trucking Industry Defense Association and the Defense Research Institute’s Insurance Law Committee and Commercial Litigation Committee.  He is also a member of the American Bar Association’s Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section’s Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee, as well as the ABA’s Litigation Section’s Environmental Litigation Committee.

Bryan is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court Eastern District of North Carolina, U.S. District Court Middle District of North Carolina, U.S. District Court Western District of North Carolina, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
