Marguerite Willis Re-Elected to SCWLA Board of Directors

Columbia , SC – Marguerite S. Willis, a Member (partner) in the Columbia office of Nexsen Pruet has been re-elected to the Board of Directors of the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association (SCWLA).

Her new two-year term will be through 2010. She has been a member of the SCWLA board since 2006.

Willis is a litigator who concentrates her practice in antitrust and complex litigation matters. She is admitted to practice in South Carolina , Florida , North Carolina , and the District of Columbia .

Ms. Willis earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and her law degree from Stetson University College of Law.  She is a frequent lecturer on topics including antitrust, class action practice, and law firm marketing.

Ms. Willis is a past president of the Women’s Bar Association of the District of Columbia , and she is currently a trustee for the College of Columbia .

The 700-member SCWLA works to enhance the status, influence, and effectiveness of women lawyers in the State of South Carolina .
