Jeff Tibbals Selected for 2006-7 Class of Leadership Charleston

October 2, 2006

Jeffrey S. Tibbals, an attorney in Nexsen Pruet’s Charleston office, has been selected for the 2006-2007 class of Leadership Charleston.

Tibbals has a broad base of litigation and trial experience, including complex tort and contract litigation, real estate litigation, and class actions. His practice has also touched upon real estate transactions and environmental law, providing a wide-ranging perspective on business and real estate issues that are common in business litigation.

“Jeff’s background has given him significant insight into a lot of legal matters that are critical to Charleston,” said Leighton Lord, chairman of the board of Nexsen Pruet. “This gives him the opportunity to apply that knowledge in a broader context, and put it to work for the future of the community.”

Tibbals earned his undergraduate degree from Washington and Lee University and his law degree, cum laude, from Tulane University. Previously, he worked in the Washington, D.C., office of a national general practice law firm before moving to Charleston.

Leadership Charleston is a program of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce. It offers participants the chance to explore and analyze issues that impact the region while focusing on fundamental leadership principles.

Nexsen Pruet, LLC is one of the largest law firms in the Carolinas, with more than 170 attorneys and offices in Columbia, Charleston, Greenville, Hilton Head, and Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Charlotte and Greensboro, N.C.  Founded in 1945, Nexsen Pruet provides a broad range of legal services to the business community and represents companies and other entities in local, state, national, and international venues.
