Brad Waring Appointed to Chief Justice's Commission on the Profession

Charleston, SC - Brad Waring, a Member (partner) in Nexsen Pruet’s Charleston office, has been appointed to the South Carolina Chief Justice’s Commission on the Profession.

The commission was created to encourage professionalism in the practice of law, and plans and conducts symposiums, seminars, and other meetings aimed at preserving the standing of the legal profession. Beyond that, it makes recommendations to the Supreme Court, the South Carolina Bar, bar associations, and law schools concerning ways to maintain and enhance professionalism in the field.

Waring was named to the commission by Chief Justice Jean Toal. The commission’s membership includes judges, practicing attorneys, and faculty from the state’s law schools.

Waring practices in the business and consumer litigation groups at Nexsen Pruet, and is listed in Best Lawyers in America for business litigation.

He is a member of the American Bar Association, American Judicature Society, American Board of Trial Advocates, Charleston County Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (FDCC), and the University of South Carolina Law School Partnership Board. He also serves as chair of the FDCC Continuing Legal Education Committee.
