Michael Mann Appointed to Board of SC Governor's School for Science and Mathematics Foundation

Nexsen Pruet is proud to announce that Intellectual Property attorney Mike Mann has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the South Carolina Governor's School for Science and Mathematics Foundation.  Mann will serve a three-year term.

“The Governor's School is one of the top 20 public high schools in the United States,” said Mann.  “I am honored to serve on its board.”

Mann is a long time supporter of education in South Carolina.  In the mid-1990s he began offering an award for creativity as part of the Visual Literacy Festival of Richland School District One.   Each of six winners of the Award for Creative Excellence, one winner for each of the six contests of the Visual Literacy Festival, receives a $500 US savings bonds which has been sponsored by Nexsen Pruet since 1998.  Mann also serves on the State Board of the South Carolina Technical College System.

The Governor's School for Science and Mathematics is located in Hartsville.  Since 1988, more than one thousand students have attended classes that place an emphasis on science and mathematics. Click here to learn more about the Governor’s School.
