Breakfast Briefing for Busy HR Professionals: Understanding Important Employee Benefits Issues August 21, 2005
The Employment and Labor Law Practice Group of Nexsen Pruet Adams Kleemeier, LLC will present free breakfast briefings to help human resources professionals better understand and identify important employee benefits issues.
"This seminar will give employers a chance to learn how to better handle key benefits issues they see over and over again," says Nexsen Pruet Adams Kleemeier attorney Mike Brittingham. "We'll also show employers how they can enhance current benefit offerings."
Brittingham, a Certified Tax Specialist, will lead the South Carolina seminars. He will be joined by Nexsen Pruet Adams Kleemeier attorney Sue Odom, who also focuses her practice in the areas of employee benefits and tax law.
This briefing will include a discussion of such issues as:
- Important tips on how to address employee benefits issues when hiring, firing, or coordinating leaves of absence
- A discussion of your options to add a Roth 401(k) feature to your 401(k) Plan or add a 2½ month grace period to your flexible spending account plan
- A brief review of employee benefits notice requirements
