Hughes, Wallace, Pitts Elected Members Of Nexsen Pruet

Nexsen Pruet, LLC announced today that Mary L. (Molly) Hughes, R. Bruce Wallace, and Michael S. Pitts have been elected as Members of the law firm.

Hughes and Wallace are attorneys in the firm's Charleston, S.C., office, while Pitts practices in Greenville.

As a limited liability company, Nexsen Pruet has Members, rather than partners or shareholders, who have legal ownership of the firm.

Molly Hughes practices in the Litigation and Labor and Employment groups. She earned her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Wofford College and her J.D. cum laude from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Before joining Nexsen Pruet, she served as a clerk for the Hon. David C. Norton of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina, Charleston Division.

Bruce Wallace practices in the Business and Consumer Litigation Group, focusing on insurance bad faith, insurance coverage, business litigation (including partnerships, limited liability companies, and closely held companies), and probate litigation (including trusts and estates). He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law. From 1996-1998, he clerked for the Hon. C. Weston Houck, Chief U.S. District Judge, District of South Carolina.

Michael Pitts practices in the firm's Labor and Employment Group as well as with the Commercial Litigation Group. He also has considerable experience in insurance defense and coverage litigation. Pitts earned his undergraduate degree, with distinction, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law where he was a member of the South Carolina Law Review.
