Brad Waring Installed as President-Elect of S.C. Bar

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Bradish J. Waring, a Member (partner) with Nexsen Pruet, LLC in Charleston, has been installed as President-Elect of the South Carolina Bar.

Since 1981, Waring has held numerous positions with the Bar, most recently serving as Treasurer of the 11,000-member organization.

Waring's legal practice focuses on the defense of civil actions in state and federal courts with emphasis on commercial litigation.

Waring joined Nexsen Pruet in 2003 after more than two decades with Young, Clement, Rivers & Tisdale, LLP in Charleston. The former corporate counsel to the Town of Sullivan's Island, he is listed in Best Lawyers in America in the field of business litigation.

He is a member of the Charleston Bar, the S.C. Defense Trial Lawyers Association, the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, the American Bar Association and the University of South Carolina Law School Partnership Board. He is the former Chair of the American Law Firm Association and of the University of South Carolina Law School Alumni Association Board.

Previously, he also served on the House of Delegates of the South Carolina Bar, and as an officer, sits on its Board of Governors.

Waring earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and his J.D. from the USC School of Law.
