About “Legal Elite”

Business North Carolina determines its “Legal Elite” list via peer voting. Each year, the magazine mails ballot notices to every living member of the N.C. State Bar and asks "Of the Tar Heel lawyers whose work you have observed firsthand, whom would you rate among the current best in these categories?"  Attorneys are not allowed to vote for themselves and are only allowed to select members of their own firm if they vote for lawyers outside their firm in the same categories.
