Nexsen Pruet Expands Raleigh Office; David Robinson Joins Firm as Special Counsel

Nexsen Pruet is pleased to announce that David S. Robinson has joined its Employment and Labor Law Group as Special Counsel.   He will work out of the firm’s Raleigh office and focus his legal practice in the areas of international, corporate, employment, immigration, and commercial law.

"We are carefully and deliberately growing Nexsen Pruet’s presence in the capital city of North Carolina, with a strategic eye toward serving clients’ most sophisticated needs,” said Ernie Pearson, managing member of the firm’s Raleigh office.  “The addition of David is an important step in this process.  He has a strong background in international law, and will help us to better serve our clients' needs in the Carolinas and around the world.”

Mr. Robinson has lived in Tokyo, Japan for 8 years, traveled to more than 40 countries and represented clients in Europe, Asia, Australia as well as North America and South America.  His clients include both technology startups and established publicly-traded multinationals.  He is equally comfortable in ‘cleanrooms’ and cattle feed lots.

Mr. Robinson is also Chairman of the North Carolina GOP’s 13th Congressional District, is a member of the NC GOP Central Committee and is Candidate Recruitment Chair for the Wake County Republican Party.

In addition to providing pro bono representation for religious and nonprofit organizations in the Carolinas, he also volunteers for charitable organizations such as the American Red Cross, Meals on Wheels and the Leukemia Society.

When he’s not working or volunteering, Mr. Robinson is an active athlete.  He is a competitive swimmer and has completed dozens of triathlons and road races.  David Robinson lives in Raleigh with his wife and three children.
