Veteran Attorneys Join Bob Coble; Nexsen Pruet Expands Public Policy & Governmental Affairs Group

Attorneys Harry Lightsey and Sally Rogers have joined Nexsen Pruet’s Public Policy and Governmental Affairs Group.  They will work closely with Bob Coble in the firm’s Columbia offices on Main Street, which is located in the block across the street from the South Carolina Capitol.

“The way business and politics interact these days, our clients have an unprecedented need for representation when matters come up before the legislature and regulatory agencies,” said Coble, who co-chairs the Public Policy Group after serving as Mayor of the City of Columbia for twenty years.  “Harry and Sally have both been working at the intersection of business and law and will provide tremendous value to the businesses and individuals we serve.”

For three decades, Lightsey has worked as an attorney and executive, most notably as South Carolina & Southeast region president for BellSouth and AT&T.  He is on the boards of directors for the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce and the South Carolina Higher Education Foundation.

Sally Rogers represents businesses and professionals at the South Carolina State House and before regulatory agencies.  She serves as both counsel and lobbyist on environmental and health care matters.

Rogers joins Coble and Stephanie Yarbrough as registered lobbyists.  The North Carolina branch of the firm’s Public Policy and Governmental Affairs Group is led by former Governor James E. Holshouser and former assistant commerce secretary Ernie Pearson.
