Nexsen Pruet Adds to Alternative Energy Experience; Brian Autry Rejoins the Firm October 19, 2011

Nexsen Pruet is pleased to announce that Brian A. Autry has rejoined the firm’s Columbia office. He is Special Counsel and practices with the firm’s Construction Group.
Autry was an associate with the firm for more than six years before going to work as General Counsel for Osage Bio Energy, LLC in Richmond, Virginia, where he handled the legal work and was a member of the executive management team. Osage is a start-up, private-equity owned, advanced biofuel company competing in the ethanol space. Osage built the United State’s first commercial scale multi-feedstock ethanol production facility in Hopewell, Virginia. Osage’s business model was built around the use of regionally grown winter barley to produce ethanol.
“From the Carolinas to the West Coast, there are new alternative energy projects in the works,” said Harper Heckman, Construction Group Chair. “Brian has been there, done that. So, his experience will be a vital asset to our clients who are responsible for constructing and managing these types of facilities.”
Autry earned his bachelor and law degrees from the University of South Carolina.
