Document Review Capabilities
Consulting Services
Nexsen Pruet team members have created and implemented document collection and review plans for some of the largest corporations and complex cases in the United States. Nexsen Pruet customizes each project to ensure an efficient and defensible document collection and review plan that captures and retains necessary strategic knowledge with the fewest possible "paper touches."
Dedicated Attorney Document Review Team/Facility
Customized Integration with the Client and its Litigation Counsel
Nexsen Pruet recently used these services in its capacity as lead counsel in a large antitrust litigation between two Fortune 500 companies. In those cases, Nexsen Pruet established an efficient review process for more than five million pages of documents produced over an approximate one-year period. In addition, Nexsen Pruet ensured that the knowledge derived from that review was immediately available to more than ten law firms and expert organizations located throughout the country.
Nexsen Pruet's Cost Assurances
1. A SINGLE, FIXED HOURLY ATTORNEY REVIEW RATE FOR THE ENTIRE REVIEW TEAM. Every review attorney on a project is billed out at the same hourly rate.
2. A BLENDED ATTORNEY RATE THAT NEVER EXCEEDS A SPECIFIED AMOUNT. Each review team is staffed with a small number of supervising attorneys (typically less than two), who have a higher billable rate than the rate for the reviewing attorneys. In order to ensure that the client obtains the full value of the rate for reviewing attorneys and that the team is appropriately staffed (i.e., not "top heavy"), Nexsen Pruet guarantees that the blended attorney hourly rate for all attorneys working on a project will not exceed a specified amount.
3. CONVERSION TO A FIXED PRICE RANGE FOR A SPECIFIED REVIEW VOLUME. After a thorough understanding of a project's scope and a sufficient volume of review (typically 50-100,000 pages), Nexsen Pruet is willing to commit to a price range for a specified volume of review for the remainder of a particular project.
