"The Sale of a Company" Conference April 25, 2002
The Capital Corporation will sponsor a conference on Thursday, April 25, 2002 from 2:00 - 6:30 p.m. at Coastal Carolina University entitled "The Sale of a Company - Exit Strategies and Wealth Management Issues." This program is designed to help in making the best decisions as to the optimum time to sell a company, methods to increase the valuation of a company and identification of transference of wealth issues. This Conference will feature presentations and a panel discussion by C. Dan Adams, President, The Capital Corporation, Dr. Thomas Secrest. Associate Professor of Business, Coastal Carolina University, Mark Knight, Partner, Nexsen Pruet Jacobs & Pollard, LLC and Jarratt Bennett, Managing Director, Reliance Capital Advisors, Inc. There will be an opportunity to raise questions and to share the experience of others through the panel discussion and the reception following the Conference.
The Conference will focus on value maximizing operating decisions, steps in the sale process, concerns relating to distribution of sale proceeds and tax and estate planning guidelines. Other topics will include:
"Why timing is critical to maximizing the sales price?" and "Maximizing the highest value for your business."
The Conference will be at the H. Dale Williams Center for Extended Learning at Coastal Carolina University, Conway, SC. The registration fee for the conference is $125.00. This registration fee includes admission to the presentation, program materials and a catered reception at the conclusion of the program.
