Burnie Maybank Reception February 21, 2006 Please join us on February 21st from 6:00 to 8:00pm for a reception to congratulate Burnet R. (Burnie) Maybank, III on completing another term as Director of the SC Department of Revenue (DOR), and to welcome him back to private practice at Nexsen Pruet.
Maybank is a member in the firm's banking and finance practice group. He returned to the firm's Columbia office in 2006 after serving as Director of the DOR under Governor Mark Sanford from 2003 through 2005. He also served in that position under Governor David Beasley from 1995 to 1999.
Maybank focuses his practice on:
- Economic Development Incentives
- State and Local Tax Controversy Work
- Exempt Organizations and Charitable Giving, including Conservation Easements
- Alcohol Beverage Control
