July 2, 2001

Columbia, SC-- David Dubberly, formerly a partner at Duff, Dubberly, Turner, White & Boykin, LLC, has joined Nexsen Pruet Jacobs & Pollard, LLC, where he will continue to practice employment and international business law.

Dubberly is certified by the South Carolina Supreme Court as a Specialist in Employment and Labor Law, and he becomes the fifth Nexsen Pruet Certified Specialist in that field. He has previously served as a member of the state Supreme Court's Employment and Labor Specialization Advisory Board and as Chairman of the Employment and Labor Law Section of the South Carolina Bar. He has successfully defended companies in employment lawsuits in federal and state courts in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Ohio.

Dubberly has also helped clients negotiate international joint venture, distribution, and licensing agreements, and set up sales offices and distribution centers in 10 foreign countries. He has served three terms as Chairman of the International Law Committee of the South Carolina Bar, and he currently serves on the Executive Committees of the South Carolina District Export Council and the Midlands International Trade Association. He also chairs the Foreign Investment in the U.S. Committee of the American Bar Association's Section of International Law and Practice.

Commenting on his reasons for joining Nexsen Pruet, Dubberly said, "A growing part of my practice is representing Carolinas-based companies that are expanding internationally, and there are two things that those kinds of companies want from a law firm: contacts and experience in the major countries in Europe, Asia, and Latin America, and attorneys who have expertise in a variety of special areas. Nexsen Pruet has the resources to meet both of these demands. It has good relationships and experience in the jurisdictions that are most important to clients, and it has some of the best corporate, tax, intellectual property, real estate, and litigation attorneys in the Carolinas."

Nexsen Pruet has comprehensive corporate and litigation practices. The firm currently represents some of the largest manufacturers, financial institutions, utilities, health care providers, and real estate developers in the Southeastern U.S. The firm also has a growing international practice representing American clients doing business abroad and international clients doing business in the U.S. Nexsen Pruet has over 120 attorneys with offices in Columbia, Charleston, Greenville, Hilton Head, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Charlotte, North Carolina. www.NPJP.com
