Centioni Joins Nexsen Pruet's Intellectual Property Group

Nexsen Pruet is pleased to announce that Sara A. Centioni has joined the Firm as an Associate practicing in the areas of Intellectual Property, Computers & Technology, and Litigation. Her focus is on all phases of patent and trademark prosecution, and as well as on intellectual property litigation, particularly biotechnology litigation. A native of Bergamo, Italy, and fluent in Italian and conversant in Spanish, Ms. Centioni is educated and experienced in biochemistry. She has a master's degree in biomedicinal chemistry and a bachelor's degree in biochemistry, both from Furman University (1997 and 1996, respectively), and a Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2000. While attending law school, she was a member of Phi Delta Phi and the Student Bar Association. Ms. Centioni is admitted to the South Carolina Bar. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Richland Bar Association, and the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division.

While attending Furman, Ms. Centioni became familiar with standard analytical chemistry instrumentation, synthesized anti-tumor drugs, and led teams in synthesizing DNA-interactive molecules.
