Stephanie Yarbrough to Participate in Riley Institute Diversity Leaders Initiative

Stephanie Yarbrough, a special counsel with Nexsen Pruet’s Banking & Finance Group in Charleston, has been invited to participate in the fall class of the Riley Institute Diversity Leaders Initiative at Furman University.

Yarbrough focuses her practice on the areas of economic development, banking and finance, and corporate law.

Before joining Nexsen Pruet, Yarborough served as director of economic development for the City of Charleston.  In that position, she implemented programs aimed at job creation and retention through efforts in business finance, marketing, small business development, business retention and expansion, technology transfer, and real estate development. She is currently on the board of the S.C. Venture Capital Authority.

She earned her undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston, an M.P.A. from the University of Charleston, and her law degree from the Southern Methodist University School of Law.

The Diversity Leaders Initiative focuses on diversity leadership, community building, and communication and collaboration skills. It is offered to select senior-level leaders across the state, and over 400 CEOs, mayors, city and county council members, legislators, school superintendents, pastors and rabbis, non-profit heads, chamber of commerce directors, and community leaders have graduated from the program.
