Tom Johnson Accredited in Green Building Practices

Raleigh    June 30, 2009

Nexsen Pruet announced today that attorney Tom Johnson is now a LEED Accredited Professional.

The designation by the U.S. Green Building Council means that Johnson has “demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles and the LEED Rating System.” (LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).

Johnson is one of about two dozen North Carolina attorneys who have received the accreditation.

“Learning and keeping up-to-date with green practices are now more important than ever,” said Johnson.  “Environmentally friendly development is key to not only protecting our natural resources, but also to keep our state at the forefront of economic recovery.”

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a 501(c)(3) non profit composed of leaders from every sector of the building industry working to promote buildings and communities that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work.  'USGBC' and related logo is a trademark owned by the U.S. Green Building Council and is used by permission.
