Nexsen Pruet Awards Six Scholarships to Minority Law School Students February 10, 2009
Nexsen Pruet announced today that six minority law school students from North and South Carolina have earned scholarships through the firm’s Diversity Scholarship Program.
Nexsen Pruet annually awards scholarships to exceptional minority students who are entering their first year of law school and planning careers in North or South Carolina. In addition to the $3,000 scholarship, the students may be considered for summer employment in one of the firm’s eight offices.
“We believe strongly that our firm – and the entire legal profession – should mirror the communities and individuals we serve,” said W. Leighton Lord, chairman of the board of Nexsen Pruet. “This program reflects that belief and underscores our ongoing commitment to diversity and the far-reaching benefits it provides.”
