Jeff Dunham Joins Nexsen Pruet as Special Counsel in Real Estate Group

GREENSBORO, NC — Jeff Dunham, who has more than two decades of experience in residential and commercial real estate matters, has joined Nexsen Pruet Adams Kleemeier as a special counsel in the firm’s Greensboro office.

Previously, Dunham was a partner with McCoy, Weaver, Wiggins, Cleveland, Rose, Ray, PLLC, in Fayetteville, NC, where he was responsible for a real estate practice that closed an average of 1,000 transactions annually.

Dunham has represented purchasers, sellers, and lenders in multimillion-dollar commercial transactions, including loans on shopping centers, hotels, and office buildings; commercial landlords in all areas of lease preparation, revision, and negotiation; and residential and commercial builders in all legal aspects of acquisition planning and development.

He will practice in Nexsen Pruet’s real estate group.

“Jeff’s experience is broad and deep, and across-the-board,” said Leighton Lord, board chairman of Nexsen Pruet. “He is going to take a practice that was already strong and make it even stronger.”

Dunham also practiced with Van Winkle, Buck, Wall, Starnes & Davis, PA, in Asheville, NC, concentrating on commercial and residential real estate.

He is certified by the North Carolina Bar as a Specialist in Real Property Law: Business, Commercial, and Industrial Transactions, and in Real Property Law: Residential Transactions. Business North Carolina magazine also listed him among the state’s “Legal Elite.”

Dunham is a member of the Real Estate Property Section and Real Property Specialization Committee of the N.C. Bar, and the North Carolina Land Title Association.

He earned his undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University and his law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law.
