Breakfast Briefing to Help Employers Better Understand Harassment in the Workplace April 4, 2005
COLUMBIA, SC - The employment and labor attorneys of Nexsen Pruet, LLC will present free breakfast briefings to employers in North and South Carolina to help them better understand harassment in the workplace.
"Harassment can hurt employees, disrupt the workplace, demand the human resources' attention, and end careers," said William Floyd, a Nexsen Pruet employment group member. "It's important to have to have a deep understanding of harassment, starting with exactly what harassment is." More than ten members of Nexsen Pruet's employment group are assisting with this important update. They will address legal issues for employers about recognizing and addressing workplace harassment, including such issues as:
- Understanding what harassment is (and what it is not)
- Responding to harassment: HR policies and investigations
- Dealing with workplace dating
