Hardaway Inducted Into Clemson Science and Engineering Academy April 18, 2005
GREENVILLE, S.C. - John B. Hardaway III, was inducted into the Thomas Green Clemson Academy of Engineers and Scientists.
The
Academy was established to recognize outstanding engineering and
science alumni, as well as non-alumni who have strong connections to
Clemson. Since 1995, 29 individuals have been chosen. Hardaway was
inducted in a ceremony on April 7th at the Madren Center in Clemson.
"This is a well-deserved honor," said Al Pollard,
managing director of Nexsen Pruet. "John is not only an accomplished
lawyer, but also has a significant background in a range of
science-related areas. That adds a lot of value to the service he
provides for our clients."
Hardaway earned his undergraduate degree in ceramic engineering from
Clemson and his Master of Science from Iowa State University, also in
ceramic engineering. He received his J.D. from the University of
Tennessee while working in the office of the chief counsel of the
Atomic Energy Commission for the handling of patent matters for Oak
Ridge National Laboratory. He has also worked as an examiner in the
U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Hardaway is a past president of the Patent, Trademark and Copyright Law
