"Leighton Lord for attorney general"

The June 17th, 2010 edition of The State newspaper features an endorsement of Leighton Lord in the upcoming GOP runoff in the race to be South Carolina Attorney General.

The endorsement is entitled "Leighton Lord for attorney general."   A portion of it reads:

What Mr. Lord lacks in prosecutorial experience, he makes up for in legal acumen and managerial experience running the state’s second-largest law firm.... few have been to balance the competing legal, financial and policy interests that go into deciding when to file complex lawsuits on behalf of the state and when to fight suits brought against the state.

The SC GOP Attorney General runoff is Tuesday, June 22nd. 

Leighton Lord led Nexsen Pruet's team on the Boeing project.  He stepped down as board chairman in early 2010 to focus on his campaign for South Carolina Attorney General.
