Nexsen Pruet Elects Three New Members

Columbia, Raleigh    January 4, 2010

Nexsen Pruet announced today that Tushar Chikhliker, Suzi Grigg and Ernie Pearson have been elected Members (partners) of the firm.

Tushar Chikhliker practices with the firm’s Banking and Finance group in Columbia. He concentrates his law practice primarily in the area of economic development and public finance.  Mr. Chikhliker is Chair of the Firm’s Diversity Committee.  Additionally, he serves on the Shandon Neighborhood Council and is a member of the South Carolina Economic Developers’ Association and the Leadership Columbia Alumni Association.

Suzi Grigg practices with the firm’s Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights in Columbia.  She is a member of the South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association and serves on the boards of directors for BANKLA and the Oliver Gospel Mission.

Ernie Pearson leads the firm’s Raleigh office and focuses primarily on economic development.  From 1989 to 1993, Mr. Pearson served as Assistant Secretary of Economic Development for the North Carolina Department of Commerce.  In each of his four years with the department, the agency was recognized as the top state recruitment program in the country.
