"Ex-Myrtle Beach mayor tagged as Elmer Fudd"

The December 7th, 2009 edition of Myrtle Beach's The Sun News features an article entitled "Ex-Myrtle Beach mayor tagged as Elmer Fudd."  Nexsen Pruet attorneys are representing the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce in a lawsuit after someone posted "false and defamatory information" on a website.

Nexsen Pruet's Cherie Blackburn told the paper that the Chamber has not yet decided what to do next.

The article by Aliana Ramos begins:  "Former Myrtle Beach Mayor Mark McBride acknowledged several months ago being the controversial online commentator 'Elmer Fudd,' a business associate said Saturday after being subpoenaed by an attorney for the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce."

In addition to Blackburn, attorneys Franklin Daniels and David Slough are also representing the chamber.
