"Bringing Boeing to S.C. - THE ART OF THE DEAL"

The Post and Courier    November 1, 2009

The Charleston Post and Courier reports on Nexsen Pruet's role in the Boeing deal in an article entitled "Bringing Boeing to S.C. - THE ART OF THE DEAL."

Led by Leighton Lord and Billy Wilkins, the firm’s Economic Development team, including Ric Tapp, Burnie Maybank and Stephanie Eames worked with Boeing officials to negotiate the incentives package approved by the South Carolina legislature.

The Post and Courier article says that once Nexsen Pruet got involved "lawmakers rallied and did so without publicity, and the game changed."  Board Chairman Leighton Lord told the paper that Boeing leaders were "kind of taken aback by it. I don't think they were used to it."
